Production Crew
Join our production team at our 50-acre tree farm in Burgaw. This hands-on role involves planting, potting, pruning, and maintaining our inventory of trees and shrubs. You'll work outdoors in all seasons, helping to grow the high-quality plants that Five Oaks is known for. Physical stamina and a willingness to learn proper horticultural techniques are essential. No experience necessary.
Garden Center Crew
Be the face of Five Oaks at our Wilmington nursery location. This position involves assisting customers with plant selection, loading purchases, maintaining attractive displays, watering and caring for plants, and keeping our garden center organized and welcoming. Ideal candidates enjoy working with people, have a genuine interest in plants, and take pride in delivering excellent customer service.
Driver
Keep Five Oaks moving! Our driver position involves transporting plants and materials between our Burgaw tree farm and Wilmington nursery, as well as making deliveries to landscaping professionals and garden centers throughout the region. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required. Experience with larger vehicles or trailers is a plus. This role combines independent work with essential teamwork.
Grower
Lead our plant production operations with your horticultural expertise. This position oversees the growing process from propagation through to market-ready plants, manages irrigation and fertilization schedules, monitors plant health, and ensures our inventory meets the high standards expected by our customers. Candidates should have experience in commercial plant production and knowledge of industry best practices. Familiarity with licensed plant varieties is beneficial.
